Get answers to common questions about Color Nation Lessons.

Color Nation Lessons are for licensed cosmetologists, barbers, and color technicians. Participants must hold an active license and bring standard color tools. We welcome experience levels from junior stylists to seasoned pros seeking advanced techniques and business application.

Curriculum includes advanced color theory, professional formulation, balayage and foiling techniques, corrective color, hair-lightening protocols, porosity assessment, bond-building treatments, and client consultation plus pricing strategies—combining hands-on demos with practical business guidance for salon-ready application.

The program offers a focused 6-hour intensive session for targeted techniques and a comprehensive 2-day course covering theory, extensive hands-on practice, and business application. Both require active license; the 2-day option includes deeper practice and instructor feedback.

Continuing education credit depends on state board approvals. We provide completion certificates and detailed syllabi; when applicable, we submit course documentation for CEU accreditation. Contact us ahead to confirm acceptance by your state licensing board.

Bring your current cosmetology license, a complete color kit (brushes, bowls, foils, gloves), clips, combs, and a mannequin or live model if preferred. Notebooks and before/after consent forms help. We provide some supplies; instructor will confirm any required items beforehand.

Classes are intentionally small to maximize hands-on instruction. We limit enrollment to eight participants, with a typical instructor-to-student ratio of one instructor per six students during practical sessions. This ensures personalized feedback and live troubleshooting for each attendee.
